Caleb is an American Eskimo that was found tied up in a garbage bag and put out with the garbage! Someone saw this occur and Animal Control was called to the scene. Caleb was taken to BARCS and then transported to Everhart Animal Hospital immediately because he was near death.
Thanks to everyone for their fast response, Caleb's life was saved! After many days of intense treatment, Caleb showed great improvement. Unfortunately, it was not a full recovery due to the lack of oxygen to his brain. For a while he showed signs of neurological issues which have gotten much better. However, he is still having difficulty with his vision. The veterinarians feel that in time, he may get his sight back.
Luckily, American Eskimo Rescue took Caleb into their program where he is resting comfortably and awaiting a new home. Thanks to the Franky Fund and all of the kind people who helped Caleb, he now has a second chance to learn that there are many loving people in this world.
