Sally

Injured stray boxer, approximately 8 months old, female.

A citizen witnessed this boxer, who we named Sally, get hit by a car. Luckily she stopped to help her and she brought her to BARCS. Sally was in a lot of pain from her injuries so staff immediately sent her to Everhart Animal Hospital where x-rays were taken. Sadly, it was found that she had a crushed pelvis and would have a very long recovery time for a major surgery. Fortunately for Sally, a boxer rescue agreed to take her into their program and to have the surgery done. She was transported by BARCS to a specialist for surgery and will recuperate with the rescue group until she is well enough to be adopted. Thank you to everyone who helped Sally to have a second chance!
