The New "Franky Fund"
|

Franky
inspired
BARCS' new fund |
Each year, the Baltimore Animal Rescue &
Care Shelter (BARCS) receives hundreds of
animals that are seriously sick or injured
and in need of immediate medical attention.
Unfortunately, BARCS alone does not have the
funding for expensive, specialized treatment
of these homeless pets. Without donations to
support their lifesaving care, sadly many of
these animals cannot be saved – dogs and
cats that would otherwise be wonderful pets.
The Franky Fund was created to provide
the medical treatment necessary to treat
these unfortunate homeless animals. With
your help, we can give innocent pets another
chance at life. It's a critical situation in
need of immediate attention.
Please
help us help them – today! |
Thank you Hopkins PAWS!

PAWS supporter Miles Gordon

Students from Johns Hopkins University have
started a volunteer group to help support
local animal shelters like BARCS.
Hopkins
PAWS - Pet and Animal Welfare Society -
formed by JHU students who generally don't
get to spend much quality time with animals
and often miss their pets at home, have been
volunteering at BARCS since 2007.
PAWS members visit BARCS daily to help socialize
with the cats and walk the dogs. They have
also helped find foster homes for several of
BARCS animals and last month they held a
successful fundraiser benefiting BARCS!
BARCS is thrilled to have such a dedicated
group helping to make the lives of our
animals better and happier. THANKS
HOPKINS PAWS!

Three Easy Ways to Help the Animals!
1.
Make a Tax-Deductible
Financial Donation - Many animal lovers
in our community choose to make financial donations
directly to BARCS. Even a small contribution can
make a HUGE difference in the lives of Baltimore’s
homeless animals. BARCS has made it easier than ever
to donate. Simply
visit us online
and contribute today!

2. Volunteer Your Time - Whether you want to
spend one-on-one time with our animals, help us get
the word out about BARCS — or both — there are many
rewarding opportunities to volunteer your time! Our
greatest areas of need include: Showing animals to
potential adopters and dog walking • cat socializing
• reviewing lost and found animals • answering phones and data entry • fundraising and
special events • newsletter writing • photographing
and uploading animal pictures to web site.
It’s easy to get started! Simply download a
volunteer application from our Web site or pick one
up at BARCS. For more information on our volunteer
opportunities, please contact our Volunteer
Coordinator Frank Branchini at (410) 396-4695 or
email him.
3. Donate Supplies - We always need supplies to keep our animals
healthy and happy. Please visit
BARCS Wish List to view supplies that
we currently need.
